How The Community Benefits
On your doorstep will be the facilities of a modern shopping complex offering a wide choice of over 100 shops, several bars and restaurants, an eight screen Cineplex and a103 bedroom Hotel. Two new pedestrian bridges will ensure accessibility for all and there will be a secure landscaped, well-lit, public riverside walk for everyone's enjoyment.
Employment
The new centre will employ about 2,500 people bringing approximately sixty million euro in wages annually into the local area.
Public Transport
Already located within 500m of Bray DART Station, the centre will be served by a new quality bus service on the future widened Dublin road, and the internal roads have been designed to accommodate the future LUAS link to the Bray DART Station. This will run through the middle of the site and provide a LUAS stop for the town and Main Street. Bray will therefore enjoy a level of public transport service unique to any major comparable town in the North Wicklow/Greater Dublin area.
River Dargle
The River Dargle will be improved through the provision of a flood defence scheme, rehabilitation of the river and re-stocking with trout. There will also be the amenity of a riverside walk which will be landscaped, well-lit and secure.
Community Facilities
Community facilities will include a GAA Pitch, a site for two new schools, public parks and plazas, crèches and community buildings.
General
The shops, apartments, offices, cinemas, hotel, restaurants, bars, crèches, schools, playing pitch and public spaces will make up a centre that offers something to all and truly creates a community where people can live, work, shop and play within their immediate area.
